Formby FC results 1949/50
This is an incomplete list. We’re missing the results of seven league games (Marine Reserves home, Marine Reserves away, South Liverpool Reserves home, Haydock C&B home, Haydock C&B away, Newton YMCA home, and UGB St Helens home). While we have the dates, results and scorers for the two league games against Cromptons Recreation, we’re unclear which one was at which venue.
We’re not sure which competitionwe were knocked out of by Cromptons Recreation on 22 October 1949, the most likely is the FA Amateur Cup.
We’re not 100% certain which competition saw us get tanked at Prescot Cables on 19 November 1949 either (conceding 4 from our ex-star striker Jack Ball!), but it seems likely to have been the Lancashire Junior Cup (aka Lancashire Challenge Trophy).
